Whisky is convenient liquor, as it does not need any basements or air-conditioned places with a specific temperature to be stored. It can be put to a simple cocktail cabinet. It should only be protected against sunrays and too high temperature from, for example, a radiator. The biggest advantage of the ”uisge beath” is the fact that after opening the bottle, it can stay as long as we want and we are not forced to drink it at one time or within a few days (as it is with wines). We can choose how we want to drink whisky. The Scottish people recommend putting a little bit of water into it in order to dilute the liquor. Thanks to it whisky gets less sharp in taste and milder flavors are liberated.
