End of year means more work for the event business. It is also us who are organizing more number of tastings. Last month there was one show, which was especially distinctive.
For a very exclusive group we prepared the tasting of exclusive single malt whiskies. The guests were able to taste all regions of Scotland. These liquors were 15, 20 or even 30 years old. Additionally, on top of that, it was possible to taste the peatiest whisky from Islay – the Ardbeg. It was one of the oldest ones, a 32-year-old cask strength edition with the volume of 52%. This one of the rarest Arbergs was imported specially for the tasting and it was the only such bottle available in this part of Europe. The participants loved the whisky. Despite being spicy, dry and having a medical taste characteristic of Ardberg, in this liquor we could also find sweet and fruity notes. Surely this is the result of ageing the liquor in sherry casks.
Very rarely, especially in the times of the crisis, do we have the pleasure to organize tastings of such limited whisky for real passionates. However, we always stress that on the request of the client we are able to deliver every liquor from all over Europe within several weeks.
